Say Yes to the Small and Insignificant

Say Yes to the Small and Insignificant

In order for this to happen though, something must change. Instead of trying to create our future, we must say yes to the one God has for us; knowing it is better. If we are not careful, we will spend our whole life trying to create what we want. The problem is, if we do this, we will always be disappointed and frustrated; we will say no to the small and seeming insignificant and end up missing the amazing.
I believe the answer to all of this is to stop trying to create the opportunities we want and instead live of life of saying yes to the little things God puts in front of us. Most of our life changing opportunities involves saying yes and doing something simple.
If we really just did the little things, we would see God do the big things. We can’t create a life changing opportunity; we can only make sure we say yes to it and then follow through on it.
As I look back over the past 10 years of my life, the greatest highlights of what God did started with a small yes.  And now I live expecting that a yes to this seemingly small opportunity will lead me to a God sized experience.
What little things are you not doing because they don’t seem that important? What big things are not happening that you want to happen? The two are more connected than you think.
It’s lent season, the time leading up to the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus, the moment He defied all expectations and proved He could and would do better. So raise your expectation today. Don’t try to create the future you want, say yes to the little things God ask you to do. If you do that, He will create a future that is even better than the one you had in mind. I believe this because I’ve watched Him do it for years and it’s why I believe the best is yet to come!
